CHICAGO ARO PROGRAM

In partnership with the City of Chicago, AM1980 offers select units in accordance with the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO). Eligibility is based on your household size and annual income. If you have any questions, please reach out to us by filling out a contact form. Additional fees may apply. All units are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We welcome applicants with all sources of income, including those with vouchers or other third-party subsidies. To qualify for this program, all applicants need to meet the Greystar Qualifications and not exceed the City of Chicago Income Limits of 60% AMI (Area Median Income) per the respective number of persons living in the home. These units are subject to monitoring, compliance, and other restrictions by the City of Chicago’s Department of Housing. For more information click here. 

AHSAP AFFORDABLE HOUSING

In partnership with the Cook County Assessor’s Office, AM1980 offers select units in accordance with the Affordable Housing Special Assessment Program (AHSAP). Unlike the Affordable Requirements Ordinance (ARO), AHSAP units follow the “Gross Rents” rent schedule.

As of April 1, 2025, the 60% AMI rental rates are as follows:

• Studio: $1,260
• One Bedroom: $1,350
• Two Bedroom: $1,620
